Every year we try to get Blue-Eyed Grass and most years they are no-shows from the growers. If you order, please know there is a chance that these plants will not come and you will be refunded. We did get them in 2024.
This is in a square pint pot.
Also called Common Blue-Eyed Grass.
Features: This charming prairie plant is similar to the other types of Blue-Eyed Grass but with white flowers. It is not a grass at all, but a small member of the Iris family. Its flowers rise from clumps of long, narrow leaves and can range from white to pale with small yellow centers (or eyes). They attract bees and ants by providing nectar and pollen in May and June at a time before many prairie flowers begin to bloom. It has a fibrous root system and spreads by seeds. It des not like competition from taller plants.
Light: Full to part sun
Soil: Medium to dry soil with loam, gravel or sand
Height: 0.5 - 1 foot
Blooms: May-June
