About Us

Wild Ones - West Cook's primary goals are to advocate for native plants, to restore precious natural ecosystems, and to provide environmental education. We do this by educating others through networking, educational programs, chapter activities and other events.

We are a local chapter of Wild Ones: Native Plants, Natural Landscapes and we started in the Spring of 2013. For membership and event information, see our website at Wild Ones - West Cook Chapter

Conservation@Home promotes sustainable landscape practices through education and certification of qualifying properties. The program offers residents of Cook County the opportunity to shape their private and community landscapes in a conservation-minded way. This program is brought to you by the partnership of Forest Preserves of Cook County and University of Illinois Extension.

Tree and shrub photos on this site are copyright Possibility Place Nursery unless otherwise noted. They are the supplier for the fall Tree & Shrub Sale and sometimes spring. Most plugs are from Pizzo Native Plant Nursery and others are Natural Garden Natives from Midwest Groundcovers.
