Features: This stately stunner is a Queen indeed! Its feathery bright pink blooms burst out in midsummer from a stem graced with large, deeply lobed leaves. When given her preference for full sun and moist soils, this fragrant, rhizome-spreading native can be quite assertive.
It is rare in nature but can grow well in ideal garden conditions and can reach heights of 8 ft! It produces pollen for the bees, but no nectar. While not a host plant or great attractor of butterflies, The Queen will certainly add visual pop to any garden space.
Light: Full sun
Soil: Moist
Height: 4-5 feet
Blooms: June to July
