Prairie Dropseed - Sporobolus heterolepis

Features: A must-have native grass for gardens. Beautiful arching tussock-like habit, graceful leaves, attractive seed stalks, color in the fall. The seed heads smell a bit like buttered popcorn. Grasses like this are important for providing cover for overwintering pollinators. Does not like competition from taller plants so it is good for a garden edge.
