Features: Very adaptable, easy-to-grow shrub with beautiful pink and white flowers that provide nectar and pollen for bees, butterflies, moths, and beneficial insects.
This drought-tolerant, disease-resistant plant forms a greenish red cluster of fruit in late summer. The bark on mature branches peels to reveal a reddish brown inner bark.
Light: Full sun to partial shade (will tolerate full sun with moist soil)
Soil: Moist to dry, loamy, sandy, or rocky
Height: 6 to 10 ft.
Width: 6 to 10 ft.
Blooms: 2-3 weeks in late Spring and early Summer
Flower color: white/pink
Fall color: red/orange/yellow
Special note: pollinator hot spot, loved by birds
