Large-flowered Trillium - Trillium grandiflorum

This wonderful plant costs slightly more since it takes up to 7 years to bloom and these are mature plants in a 4" pot. They are a spring ephemeral and may be past blooming by sale time, but will come back fine next year.
Features: A classic spring woodland wildflower, this beauty has a large white three-petaled flower above its circle of three leaves (thus the name). They are happiest in a woodland garden, with some sun in spring and then shade later. They can eventually form colonies, for a beautiful carpet of white. The seeds are dispersed by ants. Leaves go dormant by midsummer.
Light: Partial sun to shade
Soil: Moist to Medium
Height: 0.75-1.5 feet
Blooms: April to May
