June Grass - Koeleria macrantha

Features: June Grass is a medium sized tufting-grass treasured for its early greenery. It is a cool season grass that grows actively in late spring when warm season grasses are still dormant, rests in the heat of summer, and resumes active growth in the fall.

June grass flowers in June with light to medium green blooms which become tan seedheads by mid-summer. June Grass prefers full sun and dry soil. Many types of grasshoppers nibble on the grass and songbirds enjoy the seeds.
