Hairy Wood Mint - Blephilia hirsuta

Features: This is a pretty member of the mint family that forms whorled clusters of white or light purple flowers. It is visited by many species of native bees, flies and butterflies. It actually is a woodland plant, unlike its prairie-dwelling cousin Downy Wood Mint.

Light: Partial sun to partial shade

Soil: Moist to medium

Height:  1-3 feet.

Blooms:  June to July
