This plant is similar to the more common Golden Alexanders, though it likes drier soil,  and may be called Heartleaf Golden Alexanders

Features: Carrot family, attractive parsley-like foliage. Early yellow flowers attract spring pollinators, especially smaller ones such as native bees. Host plant for Eastern Black Swallowtail caterpillars.

Light: Part shade to Full sun

Soil: Medium to dry

Height: 2-3 feet

Blooms: May to June
