Features: This rare and beautiful plant has red flowers, like its prairie cousin, Royal Catchfly, and can attract hummingbirds as well as various butterflies. It is not too tall and can work well at the edge of a woodland garden, as it would be in a savanna in nature. It can be short-lived but will reseed in good conditions. Tolerates sandy/clay/rocky soil.
Light: Part Sun to Partial shade--a true savanna plant
Soil: Medium to Dry
Height: 1 - 2 feet
Blooms: May to July
