Also called Field Pussytoes and Prairie Everlasting
Features: Spreading silvery foliage creates excellent ground cover as the cheery white flower clusters reach their petite heights of 6 -12”, making this a pleasing companion plant for spring’s lovely Prairie Smoke.
Male and female flowers bloom on separate plants and are pollinated by small bees and flies. This drought-tolerant little native is a larval host plant for American Painted Lady butterfly. Deer and rabbit resistant! It will flourish in dry sun, but less so if too moist.
Light: Full to part sun
Soil: Dry
Height: 6 to 12 inches
Bloom: April, May, June
