Despite its name, this is primarily a sun-loving prairie plant.
May also be known as Ohio Horse Mint. Not sure why on that either.
Features: This is a pretty, low-growing member of the mint family that forms whorled clusters of white, pink or lavender flowers. It is visited by many species of native bees, flies and butterflies. It is fairly rare in Illinois and not aggressive like some mints.
Light: Prefers full or partial sun
Soil: Medium to dry
Height: 1-2 feet.
Blooms: May to June
