Bur Oak - Quercus macrocarpa
Features: A classic tree of the prairie and Oak Park's heritage. Caterpillars of several hundred moths feed on the leaves, as well as many other insects that in turn provide food for birds.

Soil: Moist, deep and loamy, but adaptable
Height: 80-120 feet
Width: 50-90 feet
