American Plum - Prunus americana

Features: Lovely clusters of white flowers make this distinctive in the woods or a landscape. Attracts many different kinds of bees and fruits are eaten by mammals, especially Red and Gray Fox and even humans, if they can get them first.

May grow quickly and sucker to create thickets.

Light:Full to partial sun

Soil: Medium, fertile and loamy

Height: up to 25 feet

Blooms: 2 weeks in late Spring before leaves unfurl
