Golden Alexander - Zizia aurea

Features: Carrot family, attractive parsley-like foliage. Early yellow flowers attract spring pollinators, especially smaller ones such as native bees. Host plant for Eastern Black Swallowtail caterpillars.

Closely related to the Heartleaf Meadow Parsnip but prefers soils that are a bit more moist and is more likely to spread in favorable situations.
